Fuck you instagram. I just wanted to remember this route for later, not make it a sweet sweet internet photo.

Have you ever decided to just take yourself or a loved one out to an overly fancy restaurant, got that $35 steak you always wanted, and loved it? We all have had moments similar. But if you are anything like me, you need to save up for these adventures and be a bit more frugal.
You finish what was probably the best New York strip ever but realize you have a plate full of sides that aren’t worth it on their own, but knowing how much you spent, how could you send those to the dishwasher’s trash can?
The best thing to do with leftovers, is to give them a makeover! Use those steak sides to make a hash or scramble the next morning. You get two great meals, and you only had to buy one!
And yes, I am very much enjoying my spinach and mushroom hash ;)

Hello and welcome to my blog! This is more or less going to be a diary for my culinary mind. I love cooking, eating, watching other chefs and learning about and tasting the delicious dishes around the world.
To me, cooking is a lot like gymnastics. It is very intense, there are multiple things you need to make sure you hit perfectly but in the end, if you don’t stick the dismount, almost all of the effort was in vain. But cooking is more important than just feeding people, it is about love, and sharing your personal styles and ideas and what makes your mouth water with people you care about and want to make happy. It is about bring people together in a way only a well thought out meal can.
It is my hope that this blog will do just that; bring the foodies (and non-foodies, alike) of tumblr together to share stories, restaurant recommendations and warnings, and most importantly, the food we love to cook, and the people we love to eat it with!
Sincerely, your pug-centric food lover,
Samantha
